Eliane Elias, pianist, composer and drummer Michael Carvin are featured on two different covers for the May issue of Jazz Inside Magazine (print and digital). Eliane Elias discusses her new release, I Thought About You, a tribute to Chet Baker on Concord Records. Jazz Women Highlight Baruch Performing Arts Center 2012-13 Milt Hinton Jazz Perspectives Series

Jazz Women – Women in Jazz – Baruch Performing Arts Center (located at Baruch College on E. 25th St. between Lexington and 3rd Aves.) announces the 21st season of the Milt Hinton Jazz Perspectives Series, named after the former jazz bassist and photographer who lead a music workshop at Baruch College during the 1980s and 1990s. General admission is $25-$30, but all public can purchase $20 tickets with the code PRESS.  College students can purchase $10 tickets only at the box office on the campus of Baruch College at 55 Lexington Ave, NYC.

The theme of this year’s series will be Women In Jazz and will feature the following musicians:
